Sky Tattoo opened in 1999 and was taken over by Ussi in 2000. Since then, the two “Ossis”, Ussi and Tino from Leipzig (former East Germany) have been living in Brunico in South Tyrol. The tattoo shop is located on Groß-Gerau Promenade near Kapuzinerplatz. It’s quite well known among locals and easy to find if you ask around. The shop is divided into 3 areas: a lounge with a sitting corner where you can flick through a variety of tattoo folders or watch a tattoo slide show, a separate piercing room, and the tattoo area where Tino works. Sky Tattoo was one of the first tattoo shops in Italy to voluntarily register for sanitary controls in 1999, in order to check whether hygienic requirements were guaranteed. This step was taken at a time when uniform legislative directives were nonexistent, and gained Sky Tattoo trust and future clients. Since then, strict standards have been issued in Italy, which of course are fully implemented.
